The winner of Eurovision 2024, Swiss singer Nemo, announced that he would return his award in protest of Israel's participation in the competition. In his statement, Nemo said, "I believe this award no longer belongs to me."
The Swiss champion of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, Nemo, announced that he will return the first prize he won in protest of Israel's participation in the competition.

Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest has caused significant political tension across Europe for months. Iceland, Spain, Slovenia, the Netherlands, and Ireland announced that they have decided not to participate and not to broadcast the event.
