SCANDALOUS WORDS FROM ISRAELI MINISTER
Israeli Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli commented on current developments during a program on the Israeli army radio. Chikli made a scandalous remark regarding Turkey.
"I DON'T THINK WE WILL WITHDRAW FROM LEBANON"
Regarding the discussions about the withdrawal of the Israeli army from southern Lebanon following the agreement between the US and Iran, Chikli stated, "If we return to the Blue Line (the UN demarcation line on the Lebanon-Israel border), it would be a failure. I don't think we will withdraw. If necessary, we know how to say 'no' to the US."
"TURKEY IS MUCH MORE DISTURBING THAN IRAN"
Minister Chikli, a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party, claimed that Israel will "sooner or later enter a war with Syria" and said, "Turkey and Syria are a much more disturbing development than Iran."
In a statement to 103 FM radio yesterday, Chikli touched on the situation of Iran, whose economy has been damaged by years of blockade and war imposed by the Western world, saying, "The emerging agreement is concerning, but what worries me least is the revival of Iran's economy. What worries me much more is the axis shaping this agreement: Turkey, Qatar, and Pakistan. We are seeing a new axis rising before our eyes."
