Fatih Dönmez, who has been appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul, came to the Istanbul Courthouse today to begin his new duties. The welcoming ceremony was attended by deputy chief prosecutors, judges, and prosecutors.
After the appointment of Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek to the Ministry of Justice, Fatih Dönmez, who was previously serving as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul Anadolu, was appointed to the vacant position.
HE HAD MANAGED MAJOR INVESTIGATIONS Fatih Dönmez had previously served as the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul and had managed large-scale investigations that resonated widely in the public.
HE STARTED HIS DUTY Fatih Dönmez, appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul, started his duty with a ceremony held at the Istanbul Courthouse.
SAD FAREWELL FROM ANADOLU COURTHOUSE Meanwhile, a farewell ceremony was held for Dönmez at the Anadolu Courthouse in Kartal. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Justice Commission Ahmet Kaya, Deputy Chief Public Prosecutors, Public Prosecutors, judges, and courthouse staff. After his speech, Dönmez was sent off with flowers from the Anadolu Courthouse.
"I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PROUD TO BE A PART OF THIS COURTHOUSE" In a speech at the ceremony, Dönmez said, "Today, I am here to bid farewell to you. I would like to express my gratitude to you, my esteemed colleagues and coworkers, with whom I have had the honor and pride of working during my term. Serving in this courthouse is not only an administrative responsibility for me but also a debt of loyalty to the place where I served as a Public Prosecutor and felt at home. Throughout my term, we have strived to provide the best service to our citizens without compromising the principles of impartiality and fairness, based on the rule of law, together with all our colleagues. We have made every effort to ensure that all judges, Public Prosecutors, and staff in our courthouse work under better conditions in a short time. On this occasion, I would like to especially thank all my Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor colleagues who did not withhold their support from me. I have always been proud to be a part of this courthouse, and even though I am leaving you now for a new duty, our bond and professional solidarity will continue; our door and hearts will always be open to you, and I want you to be assured of that. I thank each of you individually for the support, understanding, and sincerity you have shown during my term. I greet you all with love and affection."
