PIN WAS ATTACHED BY ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

Nimet Özdemir had entered the Turkish Grand National Assembly as an Istanbul Deputy from the IYI Party lists in the 2023 general elections. Later leaving the IYI Party, Özdemir joined the CHP ranks in an official ceremony. Özgür Özel expressed his satisfaction with Özdemir's participation and personally attached the party pin with his own hands. However, Özdemir's CHP journey was not long-lasting, and the deputy completely parted ways with the party today.

CHP'S DEPUTY COUNT DROPS TO 128

This sudden resignation move also changed the seat distribution and balances in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Following Nimet Özdemir's resignation, the Republican People's Party's number of deputies in the Parliament fell to 128.
