It has been revealed that Bozbey married a municipal employee who is 15 years younger than him in 2014 after divorcing his first wife.

It was learned that his daughter, Side Bozbey, who was also detained as part of the same investigation, was born from his marriage to his first wife, Selma Çapar, in 1988. It was stated that the 64-year-old Bozbey does not have children with his 47-year-old second wife, Seden Baştimur Bozbey. Seden Baştimur Bozbey was also one of the individuals detained in the same investigation.

She was born in 1979 in Izmir. She completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Bornova, Izmir. She completed her undergraduate education in the Sociology department at Süleyman Demirel University. After working as a contracted teacher in high schools in Izmir, she settled in Bursa, where she started working as a sociologist at Nilüfer Municipality. Seden Bozbey, who also took on the role of Director of Social Support Services in the municipality, married Mustafa Bozbey in 2014. With the aim of continuing her work in social support and assistance at the foundation, she was appointed as the foundation director at the request of her husband and the foundation's board chairman, Mustafa Bozbey. She carries out her duties with the goal of advancing the foundation in accordance with Atatürk's principles and revolutions and the values of the foundation.

As part of the investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of 'establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing a crime, 'bribery', 'laundering of assets arising from a crime, and causing environmental pollution', a detention order was issued for 59 individuals, including Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and former Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem, who is currently in custody. Operations were carried out this morning against the suspects by the teams of the Bursa Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch.

In simultaneous operations conducted in 5 provinces centered in Bursa, 55 suspects were detained. It was reported that among the suspects were Bozbey's wife, daughter, and siblings.

It is alleged that during the period in Nilüfer district, the then-mayors of Nilüfer, Mustafa Bozbey, Turgay Erdem, and some municipal employees provided financial benefits to themselves and project owners by making unauthorized increases in zoning coefficients in construction projects in exchange for bribes.

In addition to searches and seizures at 51 residences, 23 companies/business addresses, and 1 foundation address belonging to the suspects, it was reported that efforts to capture 4 fugitives among the suspects are ongoing.
