The FIFA-licensed referee Zorbay Küçük, who was mentioned in the betting scandal, has been revealed to have placed bets on certain matches. According to information shared by journalist Ersin Düzen, Küçük stated that he placed bets totaling 40 TL on the Argentine League twice from his own account. It is claimed that UEFA may initiate a separate investigation regarding the matter.
The comprehensive betting investigation announced by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) continues to resonate in the football world. In the examinations conducted, it was found that 371 out of 571 referees had betting accounts, and 152 of them were actively placing bets.
Among those referred are 7 top-class referees; Zorbay Küçük, Egemen Artun, Mehmet Ali Özer, Melih Kurt, Muhammet Selim Özbek, Seyfettin Alper Yılmaz, and Yunus Dursun.
BETTING DETAILS OF ZORBAY KÜÇÜK
Journalist Ersin Düzen shared details about Zorbay Küçük's betting history on his social media account. According to Düzen's claim, Zorbay Küçük stated that bets were placed twice on Argentine League matches from his own account, with a total amount of 40 TL. He also mentioned that money was sent to his account, but he does not know who sent it.
REPORT SUBMITTED TO UEFA AND FIFA
It has been learned that MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu informed UEFA Referee Committee Chairman Roberto Rosetti after TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu's press conference. It was reported that Zorbay Küçük learned via email that his assignment for a match in a UEFA organization was canceled by UEFA. It was also reported that Küçük became aware of the betting investigation following this incident.
UEFA PREPARING AN INVESTIGATION
It is known that Zorbay Küçük has officiated many international matches before. It has been suggested that UEFA and FIFA are closely monitoring the process in contact with TFF and may open an independent disciplinary investigation regarding the matter.

In statements made to his close circle, Küçük reportedly defended himself by saying, "I did not place any bets," and expressed that the incident could be a technical misunderstanding. However, if the allegations are confirmed, it is assessed that Zorbay Küçük's FIFA badge and international refereeing career could be at risk.
