An entrepreneur with anger issues in Diyarbakır turned this into a business opportunity. Targeting citizens who, like him, struggle with stress, anxiety, and anger, the entrepreneur opened an "anger house." Everything that comes to this house is broken and destroyed.
Hamza Durmaz, who lives in Diyarbakır, sought a solution when he experienced anger and stress problems. Durmaz decided to open an "anger house," which is located in various places in Europe, America, and Turkey, in Diyarbakır as well.
TELEVISION, REFRIGERATOR, GUITAR, PLATES...
Durmaz, who placed many items that should be found in a house, from the television to the refrigerator, and from guitars to plates, created an environment where customers could break things. When customers come by appointment, they wear protective clothing, masks, and gloves to relieve their stress.
THEY RELEASE THEIR ANGER AND STRESS HERE
Entrepreneur Hamza Durmaz stated that the anger house is a kind of therapy, where people can quickly express the anger and stress they have accumulated inside by breaking things. Durmaz, who reported that the anger problem in Diyarbakır is at a critical level, said, "I decided to open it at once. The preparation took 25 days. Everything that our guests want to break is inside. If they request a special material from us, we bring that material as well. As long as we want them to use their anger against objects here, not against someone else or a living being outside."
"THEY CAN'T BREAK IT AT HOME, THEY COME HERE"
Noting that there are car windows, dump glass, bottles, porcelain sets, televisions, and computers, Durmaz said, "There are vacuum cleaners, hoods, hair dryers, refrigerators, washing machines, guitars, anything you can think of is here. You can't break your own belongings at home. You are angry and stressed. We furnish your home here. Accordingly, you break things. For example, a man can't bear to break his guitar. We buy it at a reasonable cost and give it to him appropriately, and he breaks it."
"GENERALLY, COUPLES COME"
Durmaz, who stated that they have contacts on social media, said, "They call from there and make an appointment. They come based on the appointment. When they first come, I tell them it is like a therapy method, and they are surprised. After they go in and out, they say it is like therapy themselves. We have an age limit. There are no children; generally, couples come. There are friend groups that come. Instead of taking out their anger at home on objects, they come here. They break things, shout, and scream. They play their own music and break things while singing along."
