The first snow falling on Uludağ accelerated preparations for the winter season. While the snow depth is expected to reach 19-20 centimeters during the night hours, citizens who want to follow the latest situation on the ski slopes instantly demanded that the non-working live broadcast cameras be turned on.
After the cool weather that has increased its effect in Bursa city center in recent days, the temperature in Uludağ dropped below zero degrees. The snowfall that began in the night hours was especially effective in the hotels area and along the summit line.
With the first snow of the season, postcard-like scenes formed in Uludağ, and the forested areas covered with a white blanket attracted citizens' interest. Business owners and tourism professionals in the region also welcomed the precipitation ahead of the upcoming winter season.

Melih Çınar, who works as a photographer at Uludağ Ski Center, said, "The season is slowly opening; while it shows 1-2 centimeters of snow in the afternoon, it rises to 19-20 centimeters at night. Hopefully our season will slowly begin to open. Our wish is for the season to open earlier than last year, but we are waiting to see. We broke a record in terms of the number of people last year; it gets better every year, and I think it will be the same this year."
Meteorology officials stated that air temperatures in high-altitude regions are expected to remain low in the coming days and warned drivers to be careful against icing and reduced visibility.
The first snow of the season falling on Uludağ excited ski lovers at a time when winter tourism preparations are gaining speed. If the snowfall continues, the snow depth on the ski slopes is also expected to increase.
Bursa residents who love skiing asked that Uludağ's online cameras, which are not working, be activated as soon as possible.
