Following the "absolute nullity" decision regarding CHP's congresses, hot developments are unfolding in the CHP as Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returns to leadership. CAPITAL BACKSTAGE BUZZING
After the court's "absolute nullity" registration decision regarding CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to the party leadership has taken over the country's agenda. Speaking on the Taksim Meydanı program hosted by Gürkan Hacır on TGRT News, Ankara Representative Fatih Atik shared a striking claim that is set to stir the capital's backstage.
"I DON'T KNOW THE TIMING, BUT IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE CLOSED"
Fatih Atik stated that a move is expected regarding the presidential candidacy efforts carried out in Ankara on behalf of Ekrem İmamoğlu, making the following claim:
"I don't know the timing, but the Presidential Candidacy Office will most likely be closed."
"SERIOUS EXPENSES ARE BEING MADE, MUNICIPALITIES MAY BE UTILIZED"
Atik noted that this office, established for Ekrem İmamoğlu who was arrested and removed from duty within the scope of the bribery and corruption operation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, has significant costs, and expressed the following doubts about the source of expenditures and the process:
"Salaries are being paid to people. There are employed staff. People coming and going, plane tickets, serious expenses. Perhaps these are not covered by the headquarters but in different ways. Municipalities may be utilized. There was already a view questioning why such work is being conducted when there are no presidential elections yet."
Following Atik's claims, how the CHP headquarters will approach the said office in Ankara is being followed with curiosity in political circles.
