İYİ Party Deputy Group Chair Çömez shared on his social media account a conversation he had with a retired citizen.
RETIRED CITIZEN: WE CANNOT BUY A CYLINDER
In the footage Çömez shared with the words "Retirees who voted for the AKP are also troubled," the retired citizen said, "I am retired; we cannot buy a kitchen cylinder, it has become 1,700 lira. We gave [our vote] to our brother, and this is what came upon us."
A 52.5 PERCENT INCREASE IN ONE YEAR
Çömez, drawing attention to the rise in kitchen cylinder prices, said, "The kitchen cylinder, which was 1,115 lira in October 2025, rose to 1,700 lira in October 2026; the increase rate is 52.5 percent."
