Following Shigeko's death, the title of Japan's oldest person has passed to 114-year-old Fuyo Kishimoto.

Following the death of Shigeko Kagawa, the holder of the title of Japan's oldest living person also changed. According to information provided by the ministry, 114-year-old Fuyo Kishimoto, who lives in Kyoto Prefecture, became the country's oldest living person. Thus, after Shigeko passed away at 115, the title passed to 114-year-old Fuyo.
