After being appointed as the Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek made statements during a television program he attended, responding to a question about the events that occurred while he was taking the oath in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Gürlek stated, "I was saddened on a personal level. We serve on behalf of the institution as the Minister of Justice. The events in the Assembly upset me."
Akın Gürlek, who was appointed as the Minister of Justice by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, made statements during a television program he attended. Speaking on A Haber live broadcast, Gürlek answered questions from journalists.
"WE WILL SERVE AS MUCH AS WE CAN"
Gürlek began his remarks by saying, "I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed President for his trust and appreciation in entrusting me with this important duty. We will serve our nation in the path of justice as much as we can."
"I AM NOT THE OWNER OF THIS POSITION, BUT ITS CUSTODIAN"
Stating, "Until yesterday, I was before you as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul," Gürlek said, "I had the opportunity to serve as the chief prosecutor of Istanbul, a city of 17 million. Now, as you know, I am the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey with the appreciation and selection of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We must not forget this; I am the Minister of Justice for 86 million citizens. I am not the owner of this position, but its custodian."

Gürlek responded to a question regarding the events that occurred while he was taking his oath in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
