TRT Spor commentator Kaya Çilingiroğlu exposed a WhatsApp message he claimed was sent to him by TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu during a live broadcast. Following the message, Çilingiroğlu made striking remarks, asking, 'Should I perceive this as a threat?'
TRT Sports commentator Kaya Çilingiroğlu shared a WhatsApp message he said was sent to him by Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu on a recent program.
Çilingiroğlu stated that the message arrived while he was playing golf and said:
"I was playing golf the other day. A WhatsApp message came. The message said: 'I don't know how to speak Turkish. Hopefully we will meet soon. You can teach me Turkish!'"
"SHOULD I PERCEIVE THIS AS A THREAT?"
Çilingiroğlu, noting that the number was not saved but he thought the sender was Hacıosmanoğlu upon seeing the message, continued:
"I had no hesitation. I said this is definitely the TFF President. Then when I added him, since he wasn't in my contacts, I looked and it was him. Now, should I perceive this as a threat? As a joke? Or is it real? Does he want lessons from me? That's how it is."
Recalling his criticisms from the previous week, Çilingiroğlu said: "I made comments last week. There's no bad language, everyone says this."
HE HAD CRITICIZED HACIOSMANOĞLU'S TURKISH
Kaya Çilingiroğlu had criticized İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu's statements in an evaluation on TRT Sports last week.
Çilingiroğlu said, "Ali Şen spoke seven languages. The current one can't even speak Turkish properly or make statements." He argued that Turkey was not adequately represented at UEFA and FIFA and criticized the federation's management.
