Kerem's night in Izmir! Our National Team defeated Iceland 3-1.

Our National Team hosted Iceland in their second match in Group 4 of the UEFA Nations League B. The Crescent-Stars managed to win the match 3-1 at Gürsel Aksel Stadium in Izmir and became the group leader with 3 points.

NATIONAL TEAM STARTED WITH A GOAL

The national team started the match quickly and scored a goal in the 2nd minute. Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who received a pass from Umut Nayir on the left side of the penalty area, met the ball around the penalty spot and made a precise shot with his right foot. The slow-moving ball found the net from the far corner. With Kerem's goal, the Crescent-Stars took a 1-0 lead right at the beginning of the match.

ICELAND EQUALIZED THE SCORE

The visiting team equalized the score with a goal in the 37th minute. Palsson rose to the ball on the edge of the penalty area on Gudmundsson's corner kick from the right wing and headed it into the net. With this goal, the score became 1-1, determining the result of the first half.

KEREM TAKES THE STAGE ONCE AGAIN

The Crescent-Stars started the second half as fast as the first half. In the 52nd minute, Kerem Aktürkoğlu took the stage again. Kerem, who received the ball from Eren Elmalı outside the penalty area, made a beautiful shot to the far corner with his right foot and scored his and the national team's second goal. With this goal, our National Team regained the lead.

CAUGHT OFFSIDE

Kerem Aktürkoğlu, the hero of the night, scored a hat-trick but was caught offside. Kerem managed to send the ball into the net with a chip shot over the goalkeeper from a pass he received from İrfan Can Kahveci inside the penalty area in the 59th minute. However, the offside flag was raised for İrfan Can after the position. Although the goal was checked, the decision did not change.

NATIONAL STAR SCORED A HAT-TRICK

The hero of the night, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, scored again in the 88th minute. Kerem, who moved with a pass from Arda Güler, went into the penalty area and sent the ball into the net from close range over the goalkeeper. The national star who took us to a 2-goal lead, scored his and the Crescent-Stars' third goal with this goal and managed to score a hat-trick. With no more goals in the remaining minutes, Our Boys won the match 3-1.

Our national team, who drew 0-0 with Wales in their first match in Group 4 of the UEFA Nations League B, defeated Iceland 3-1 as the host in Izmir with Kerem Aktürkoğlu's goals and increased their points to 4. Iceland, who beat Montenegro 2-0 in their first match, remained with 3 points. In the other match of the group, Wales defeated Montenegro 2-1. As a result, Turkey became the group leader.
