Kocaelispor created a new route because they couldn't find a suitable flight from Sabiha Gökçen to Konya. The green-blacks decided to travel to the Konya away game by High-Speed Train. Speaking on the matter, head coach Selçuk İnan said, "We think it will be more comfortable. The flight times didn't suit us very well, and the journey was getting longer. Being among the public and traveling together is also a different experience."
The Süper Lig team Kocaelispor has chosen a different mode of transportation for the match against Konyaspor to be played this week.
THEY WILL GO TO KONYA BY TRAIN
Kocaelispor management decided not to fly to the away game due to the lack of suitable flight times from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Konya. It was stated that the green-black team will travel to Konya by High-Speed Train (YHT).
THE TRAIN WILL DEPART ON FRIDAY AT 13:16
The Kocaelispor squad will depart by YHT on Friday at 13:16 and will enter the camp after arriving in Konya. After the match, they will return by the train departing from Selçuklu Station at 18:43. The travel time by train from Izmit to Konya is approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes.
SELÇUK İNAN: MORE COMFORTABLE
The team's head coach Selçuk İnan spoke about this transportation choice, saying, "We think it will be more comfortable. The flight times didn't suit us well, and the journey was long. Additionally, being among the public and traveling together can be a different experience. We shared this idea with our players, and they responded positively. I hope it will be a nice journey."
