ATTENTION STUDENTS STARTING UNIVERSITY
GSB dormitory applications for the 2026-2027 academic year have started as of today. Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak announced on his social media account that GSB dormitory applications have started for students who are registering for the first time in formal education programs of universities and for students in intermediate classes for the 2026-2027 academic year.
HOW ARE APPLICATIONS EVALUATED?
Students can make their GSB dormitory applications via e-Government until 23:59 on Saturday, August 29.
Applications will be evaluated in coordination with 12 different institutions and organizations.
During the application, students will be asked to declare their social and economic status. After the application process is completed, students' declarations will be evaluated in coordination with 12 different public institutions and organizations, and the applications will be concluded.
During the placement process, students' status will be determined based on the family's income level, social status, and success criteria.
Among the institutions and organizations that will examine the application declarations are the Council of Higher Education, the Student Selection and Placement Center, the General Directorate of Sports Services, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of National Education, the Revenue Administration, the Social Security Institution, the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.

The KYK dormitory application screen has been opened for access via e-Government. After logging into their e-Government accounts, students can complete their application procedures through the relevant service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

HOW TO MAKE A KYK DORMITORY APPLICATION?
Students who want to apply for KYK dormitories must first log into the e-Government system. Then, they need to access the GSB dormitory application service, check the information on the screen, and complete the application process.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR KYK DORMITORY APPLICATION?
For KYK dormitory applications, students must meet the specified conditions. Students who are registering for the first time in a formal higher education program for the 2026-2027 academic year and intermediate class students who meet the relevant conditions can apply.
