In Sinop's Durağan district, village headman Arif Erdoğdu was found shot with a gun in his own field after his family searched for him when he did not return home at night. While health teams confirmed his death, gendarmerie launched an investigation into the incident.
The village headman, who was sought by his family after he did not return home in the evening in the Durağan district of Sinop, was found dead in his own field, shot with a pistol.

Arif Erdoğdu, who served as the headman of the Yalnızkavak village in the Durağan district of Sinop, did not return home at night, prompting his relatives to begin a search in the area in the morning hours.
As a result of the search efforts, Erdoğdu was found by his family in the field belonging to them in the village, shot with a pistol.
SUICIDE OR MURDER?
Upon the report, health teams arriving at the scene determined that Erdoğdu had lost his life during the check. After the examination by the public prosecutor, Erdoğdu's body was taken to the morgue of Durağan State Hospital.
Gendarmerie teams conducted examinations at the scene and its surroundings. It is being investigated whether the incident was a suicide or a murder.
