In the Yıldızeli district of Sivas, a former village headman shot his brother Orhan Ateş with a pistol due to a land dispute. Orhan Ateş died at the scene, while his son and another brother were injured.

In the Yıldızeli district of Sivas, during a dispute over land issues, former village head C.A. (50) opened fire with a pistol, resulting in the death of his brother Orhan Ateş (40) and injuring his son E.A. (15) and another brother A.A. (35).

FORMER HEAD PUSHED THE TRIGGER SUCCESSIVELY

The incident occurred around 21:00 in the village of Seren, located 37 kilometers away from the city center of Sivas. Former village head C.A. began to argue with his brothers A.A. and Orhan Ateş over a land issue in his house. As the argument escalated, C.A. opened fire with a pistol. Upon hearing the gunshots, villagers alerted the authorities, and health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.

Health officials determined that Orhan Ateş, who was hit by bullets, died at the scene. His other brother A.A., who was injured in the hip, and his son E.A., who was injured in the leg, were taken to Yıldızeli State Hospital by ambulance. After initial treatment, E.A. was transferred to Cumhuriyet University Medical Faculty Hospital. It was reported that the health condition of the injured was good. The body of the deceased Orhan Ateş was taken to the morgue of the same hospital.
