The Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi wrote a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the countries of the UN Security Council.

"DAMAGES MUST BE COMPENSATED"

In his letter, Araghchi referred to the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran's nuclear facilities as violations of international law, stating, "The US and Israel must compensate for the damages caused by their attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities."

RISK OF RADIOACTIVE LEAKAGE

Araghchi also warned that targeting nuclear facilities could lead to radioactive leaks.

"NUCLEAR FACILITIES SHOULD BE MONITORED"

Araghchi stated that the UN Security Council should include Israel in the "Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT)" and also demanded that Israel's nuclear facilities be monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and many high-ranking officials were killed. According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the US-Israel attacks exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured surpassed 17,000.
