The Ministry of Interior issued a warning for 18 provinces due to expected snowfall and heavy rainfall in the Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions. In a statement from the ministry, citizens were urged to take precautions against floods, avalanches, and transportation disruptions.

SNOW AND HEAVY RAIN WARNING FOR 18 PROVINCES
In a statement made on the ministry's social media account, it was stated, "According to the latest information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology; on Sunday, March 29, 2026; strong mixed rain and snow are expected in Bitlis, southern Van, and Hakkari, heavy rainfall and occasional thunderstorms in Siirt, northern Batman, and around Şırnak, and strong mixed rain and snow in the high areas. Locally heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in the west of Adana, Hatay, Osmaniye, and Kahramanmaraş. It is predicted that the precipitation will be in the form of strong mixed rain and snow above 1300 meters altitude."
“BE CAUTIOUS AND PREPARED AGAINST NEGATIVES”
The statement also included, "Local heavy rainfall is expected in the surroundings of Sakarya, Düzce, Zonguldak, Bartın, Bolu, Karabük, as well as in the western parts of Kastamonu and the northwest of Ankara (Beypazarı, Nallıhan). We strongly remind our citizens to be cautious and prepared against negatives such as disruptions in transportation, floods, water inundation, landslides, lightning, strong winds during rainfall, and avalanche risks in sloped areas with high snow cover; and to pay attention to the warnings of the relevant authorities."
