In the case of Şeyma Gökçe, who lost her life after falling from the 14th floor in Ankara, the defendant Hüseyin U. was acquitted of the charge of intentional murder. The indictment noted that signs of struggle, glass shards, and blood stains were found in the house, and that the claim that the windows were broken during Gökçe's panic attack did not match the autopsy report.

In the Etimesgut district of Ankara, Hüseyin U. (28), who was on trial for the death of Şeyma Gökçe (31), who fell from the 14th floor, was acquitted on the grounds that there was no concrete evidence of intentional murder.

Şeyma Gökçe fell from the window of the apartment she shared with her boyfriend Hüseyin U. on March 15 at around 7:30 PM. Gökçe, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital. Hüseyin U., who was allegedly sleeping at home during the incident, was detained by the police who entered the apartment by forcing the door open. In his initial statement, Hüseyin U. claimed that he had argued with Şeyma Gökçe in the morning, that he had taken medication, that he fell asleep due to the effects of the medication, and that he learned about the situation when the police entered the house. Hüseyin U. was arrested by the court on charges of 'intentional murder.'

TRACES OF STRUGGLE IN THE HOUSE, BLOOD STAINS...

In the indictment prepared by the Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the police entered the house with a locksmith when the door could not be opened, that Hüseyin U. was found in bed, and that he gave contradictory statements. It was noted that traces of struggle, glass shards, and blood stains were found in the house, and that the claim that the windows were broken during Gökçe's panic attack did not match the autopsy report. The report emphasized that there were no cuts on Şeyma Gökçe's hands and arms. In the indictment, it was claimed that Uyucu had reduced Gökçe's resistance by administering drugs and had thrown her out of the kitchen window from a height of about 40 meters, and a life sentence was requested for the charge of 'intentionally killing a person who cannot defend themselves physically or mentally.'

MOTHER ÇAĞLAR: DEFINITELY NOT SUICIDE

In the second hearing of the case held at the Ankara West 2nd High Criminal Court, the defendant Hüseyin U., the family of the deceased Gökçe, and their lawyers were present in the courtroom. Father Mithat Gökçe said, "There are no fingerprints of my child on the window. There is no way she could have jumped." Mother Günnur Çağlar stated, "My daughter did not write me any note, the last messages were with me. It is definitely not suicide. I trust in justice."

"I TRUST IN THE SUPREME JUSTICE"

After the statements, the public prosecutor presented his opinion, stating that Hüseyin U.'s fingerprints were found on the frame of the window from which Şeyma Gökçe fell, and that no fingerprints belonging to Gökçe were detected. The prosecutor noted that Hüseyin U. had used drugs with the deceased and that there was no evidence of a relationship other than a romantic one between them in the examination of phone records, and requested the acquittal of the defendant on the grounds that there was no concrete evidence of intentional murder. When asked for his final words, the defendant said, "I trust in the supreme justice, I request my release and acquittal." The court announced its decision, acquitting the defendant Hüseyin U.
