A plane crash in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, caused great panic in the city. A light aircraft, descending to land at Bemowo Airport, failed to reach the runway for an undetermined reason and crashed into the middle of a street. Two people on board the plane, which turned into a fireball, lost their lives, while two people who were on the street at that moment were also injured.

A terrible plane crash occurred in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. According to information obtained, a light aircraft descending for landing missed the runway due to a technical malfunction or an undetermined cause and crashed onto one of the city's busy streets. Two people on the plane died in the accident.

COULDN'T LAND ON RUNWAY, CRASHED INTO STREET 

The incident occurred in Warsaw's Bemowo district. The light aircraft preparing to land at the local Bemowo Airport failed to reach the airport's borders and crashed into the maneuvering area on Powstanców Slaskich Street. Immediately after the impact, a large explosion occurred and a fire broke out.

AIRCRAFT TURNED TO ASHES, SKY FILLED WITH SMOKE

In images shared on social media, thick black smoke rising from the blazing aircraft wreckage in the middle of the street was seen covering the sky, causing widespread panic in the area. Upon notification, numerous firefighting, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by massive firefighting efforts, but authorities reported that the aircraft was completely burned to ashes.

TWO PEOPLE ON STREET INJURED 

Lukasz Darmofalski, from the State Fire Service Provincial Headquarters, shared the accident's toll in a statement to the press. Darmofalski reported that 2 civilians on the street who witnessed the crash were also injured and taken to hospital.

In an official statement from the fire service, the following words were included:

"We received a report that a light aircraft crashed into an area outside the airport on Powstanców Slaskich Street. Five firefighting teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, the 2 people inside the aircraft died at the scene."

The Polish Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Commission has launched a comprehensive investigation at the scene to determine the cause of the crash.
