A masked gang in the UK used a stolen construction vehicle to rip an ATM from a bank wall and load it onto a truck, fleeing the scene. The stolen ATM was reported to contain tens of thousands of pounds, prompting a large-scale police investigation.

The robbery in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire, was captured in detail on security cameras. In the early hours, masked suspects, using a telehandler believed to be stolen, targeted the outer wall of a Nationwide Building Society branch.

ATM TORN FROM THE WALL

Footage showed the vehicle repeatedly ramming the building, demolishing the section housing the ATM. The suspects then loaded the torn-out ATM onto a truck and quickly escaped.

Authorities estimate the stolen ATM contained tens of thousands of pounds.

THREE VEHICLES USED

According to Cambridgeshire Police, at least three vehicles were used in the robbery, including the construction vehicle. Footage from nearby security and dashcams is being analyzed.

Police believe the construction vehicle was also stolen from another location prior to the incident.

POLICE HUNT SUSPECTS

Following the incident, police launched a large-scale investigation and are asking witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward.

Serious damage was caused to the branch, and bank management announced that the ATM and branch will be restored as soon as possible.
