"Line attack on the AK Party Provincial Presidency"

The AK Party Iğdır Provincial Presidency was attacked with a sword by an individual. After breaking the glass of the entrance door of the Provincial Presidency building, the assailant hurled insults around.

HE WAS DETAINED

The incident, which occurred in the morning, involved Bilen Balta, who arrived at the AK Party Provincial Presidency building located in the Emir Ensar Apartment in the Bağlar neighborhood with a sword. He first rang the doorbell. After waiting for a while at the door, the assailant then broke the glass of the door with the sword in his hand. After entering, Bilen Balta shouted and hurled insults. Upon receiving a report, security forces were dispatched to the address, where they persuaded the suspect and detained him. The assailant was taken to the Police Department by the police.

"WE CONDEMN AND CURSE"

In a statement regarding the attack, AK Party Provincial Chairman Ali Kemal Ayaz said, "This morning, a person named Bilen Balta came to the front of the party and attacked with the sword in his hand. After forcibly entering, he tried to go upstairs, but the security forces intervened and persuaded him to end this act. We condemn these attacks; they are not pleasant things, they are serious incidents. These attacks will not be the first nor will they intimidate us. We will always stand by our leader and our party as long as we have breath, and we will continue this struggle. The assailant insulted our President and his wife while entering. We condemn and curse this act," he stated.
