A dispute over 'protection money' between a father and his son at a fish restaurant in the Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir ended in blood. Three people were injured in the brawl in which knives were drawn.
In a fish shop located on Sencer Street in the Arifiye Neighborhood of Eskişehir’s Odunpazarı district, an argument broke out between father and son for a reason not yet determined. In the scuffle, which quickly escalated into a fight, knives were drawn. During the incident, a total of 3 people, including the father, were stabbed and injured.
"HE ATTACKED WHEN I DIDN'T PAY PROTECTION MONEY"
Following reports from those around, police and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the address shortly after. The unfortunate father, who gave information to the police at the scene, filed a complaint against his own son and said, "He is demanding protection money from me; when I didn't give it, he attacked. I am filing a complaint against him."
Two of the injured, to whom medical teams provided first aid, were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance and placed under treatment. One person linked to the incident was taken to the police station to have his statement taken.
Security forces launched a large-scale investigation into the incident.
