Speaking before the European Political Community Summit held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, Macron addressed the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz. Emphasizing the importance of reopening the strait, Macron said this process should be carried out in coordination between Iran and the US.

Macron recalled that a conference on freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz was held in Paris on April 17, noting that a blockade on the strait was declared in the US on the same day.
