Mardin 1969 Spor Technical Director Bülent Akan said in a statement to the AA correspondent that his players completed their group in second place as a result of good performance.
Akan, stating that they have reached today with the support of the management and Mardin Governor Tuncay Akkoyun, expressed that they are preparing seriously for the final match. Emphasizing that they are doing their analyses and training very well, Akan spoke as follows:
"I thank our fans very much. They really supported us a lot. Hopefully, we will bring the cup to all the people of Mardin. We have a 50 percent chance. We respect Muşspor, but in the last match, we want to bring the cup by doing more than our best. Because the city of Mardin, the people of Mardin need this. About 18 years ago, they were playing in the 1st League. We will return to those days together. Our morale and motivation are good. We have no problems. We have minor injuries. Apart from that, there is no negative situation. The status of our injuries will be clarified by match time. Hopefully, we will take the field with the best squad."
"I THINK WE HAVE FULLY EARNED THE CUP"
Team captain Yalçın Kılınç stated that despite some problems, they worked hard throughout the season and finished the group in second place.
Kılınç, expressing that they want to crown their success by winning the final match, noted the following:
"The semi-final was very tough. Now we have an important match ahead. We will play against a good team. We want to prepare well accordingly and become champions. The season was really good for us. We far exceeded the goals set at the start of the season. Hopefully, with my friends, I think we have fully earned this cup. I am also from Mardin. There was a team that had fallen to the amateur level. Hopefully, we want to take our city's team to where it deserves. Our supporters were very good in the last match as well. We expect them in the final in the same way."
Player Melih İnan stated that they are happy to have advanced to the final, saying, "Thank God, we were able to leave with victory in the penalty process. Bless the hearts of all my teammates. Hopefully, we will be champions."
