The 17-year-old suspect in the incident where two people were killed in a coffee house in Adana committed the murders to obtain eight quarter gold coins for his mother. It was also revealed that the suspect, who had premeditated the murder, shared a photo on his social media holding a pair of guns with coffin emojis, featuring the initials of the relative he was about to kill just minutes before the incident.

In the incident that occurred at the coffeehouse on Eczacı Haşim Dalgıç Street in the Kiremithane neighborhood of the Yüreğir district, H.G. lent 8 quarter gold coins to his cousin Erkan Savan (35). After a while, H.G.'s son D.G. (17) went to the coffeehouse to collect the gold. When Savan said he couldn't give the gold, D.G. left the coffeehouse.

Upon returning home, D.G. shared a photo on his social media account featuring a coffin emoji and double guns, using the initials of Savan's name. Minutes after the post, D.G. returned to the coffeehouse where Savan was located and observed for about 2 minutes. Then, the suspect entered and shot Savan first, followed by Ramazan Durak (40), who intervened, in the chest. While the injured fell to the ground in a pool of blood, D.G. fled. Savan and Durak died in the private hospital they were taken to.

ARRESTED 15 MINUTES AFTER THE MURDERS

Teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch caught D.G. in the back streets of the neighborhood where the murder took place, just 15 minutes after the incident. The suspect, handed over to the Child Protection Unit, was arrested by the court he was brought before after the procedures here.
