In a traffic accident resulting from a minibus overturning in the Lice district of Diyarbakır, 5 people lost their lives and 11 people were injured, 4 of them seriously. In a statement made by the Diyarbakır Governorship, it was stated, 'A necessary investigation and inquiry have been initiated regarding the accident. We wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives, condolences to their relatives, and a speedy recovery to our injured citizens.'
In a traffic accident that occurred when a minibus overturned in the Lice district of Diyarbakır, 5 people lost their lives and 11 people were injured, 4 of them seriously.
The accident occurred in the morning hours in the Heylo hamlet of the rural Karahasan neighborhood in the Lice district. The minibus with license plate 41 AFM 446 overturned after the driver, whose name could not be learned, lost control. Upon reports from those around, health, fire brigade, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
5 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
While health officials determined that 2 people had died in their examination at the scene, after providing first aid to the 14 injured, they were taken to the hospital by ambulances. Despite all the doctors' interventions, 3 of the injured admitted to the hospital's emergency department could not be saved. It was reported that the condition of 4 of the 11 injured under treatment is serious.
It was learned that those in the overturned minibus were on their way for an engagement ceremony.
