Fenerbahçe is preparing for a major squad overhaul ahead of the new season. While the number of players is expected to rise to 45, it has been reported that the yellow-navy management plans to part ways with at least 17 footballers due to the TFF's squad regulations.
Fenerbahce continues its new season preparations with squad restructuring as well as transfer efforts. The yellow-navy management has prepared a comprehensive plan to add new names to the team while reducing the number of players in the current squad.
SQUAD MAY REACH 45 PLAYERS
With the return of players on loan and the completion of Vedat Muriqi's transfer, the number of players in the first-team pool has risen to 40. It has been reported that the management plans to make at least five more additions during the transfer window, which could bring the number of first-team players to 45.
17 PLAYERS WILL BE PARTED WAYS WITH
Due to the Turkish Football Federation's rule requiring a 28-player squad declaration, Fenerbahce needs to undergo a major revision. Accordingly, it has been stated that the yellow-navy management aims to part ways with at least 17 players after completing the transfer activities.
PRIORITY IS HIGH-COST NAMES
It has been reported that the first priority in the separation planning involves players not considered for the new season squad by the technical staff and who create a high cost for the club. It has been learned that talks have begun with the representatives of some players in this context, and transfer and loan options are being evaluated.
TARGET IS AUGUST 14
The goal of Fenerbahce's management is to complete the squad restructuring along with the transfer process by August 14, to form the group of players desired by the technical staff, and to prepare a list compliant with the TFF's squad declaration criteria.
