İYİ Party Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban, who recently came to the agenda with claims that he would switch to the AK Party, resigned from his party.
"I WORKED WITH ALL MY STRENGTH, WITH GREAT FAITH AND DETERMINATION"
Gürban announced his decision with a statement on his social media account. In his statement, Gürban said: "Dear Turkish nation, I have worked with all my strength, with great faith and determination until today, so that the Republic of Turkey and the great Turkish nation can achieve a more prosperous, more peaceful and stronger future. It is indisputable that all my efforts have been in line with our common values and the interests of our nation.
EMPHASIS ON NATIONAL AND SPIRITUAL VALUES
Throughout my life, I have adopted as a principle to live under the shadow of the glorious Turkish flag, protecting our national and spiritual values and our deep-rooted cultural heritage. I have also been carrying out my parliamentary duty with this understanding, with honor and a sense of responsibility. I am resigning from my membership in the İYİ Party upon seeing the need.
"I WILL CONTINUE MY DUTY UNDER THE ROOF OF THE TBMM WITH A STRONGER WILL"
I thank everyone who respects the organizational law, in the presence of our esteemed Chairman and Founding Chairman. I respectfully submit to the public that I will continue my duty under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the same determination and a stronger will in the coming period."
HE WAS CLAIMED TO MOVE TO THE AK PARTY
Mehmet Mustafa Gürban had been mentioned in the corridors for a while with claims that he would move to the AK Party. Last month, Gürban, who made a remarkable statement regarding these claims and recalled his past and political line, said, "I was a member of the AK Party Şahinbey branch from 2007 to 2023. I left my party of 16 years and came. I am not a man of idealist origins. If I switch to the AK Party, I would be more solution-oriented; besides, I can't even submit a motion in the İYİ Party, at least we'll make a phone call in the AK Party. In other words, when a person gets divorced, he returns to his father's house. I cannot go and join the HDP."
