"I WAS ABOUT TO FAINT FROM EXCITEMENT"
Speaking about his days at Fenerbahçe, the national player said, "When I first entered Samandıra, I was about to faint from excitement, you can't imagine."
Demiral, who spoke to KAFA Sports, said, "I never had the chance to play in Kadıköy, but I collected balls there a lot. Even that excitement was different. My hands and feet were shaking, I didn't want to do anything wrong, I didn't want to throw the ball late... It was a completely different kind of excitement. I remember the first day I joined the Fenerbahçe A Team. I was at school when I got the call. Someone came in during class and said, 'They are calling you to the A Team training.' At that time, there were players like... Van Persie, Nani, Volkan Demirel, Mehmet Topal, Gökhan Gönül, Kjaer, Bruno Alves, and many others. When I first entered Samandıra, I was about to faint from excitement, you can't imagine. Even wearing the A Team's gear was an incredible thing. It was something unforgettable," he expressed.
