Mersin: A woman was murdered by her religiously married husband, whom she sought on a television program.

In the incident that occurred on 84002 Street in Akbelen Neighborhood of the central Toroslar district of Mersin, Hasan F. argued with Aybeniz Top, the mother of his child with whom he was living but not officially married, over a money issue. After the argument, the suspect strangled the woman with a scarf and killed her. Upon realizing the situation, police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the investigation, the woman's body was sent to the morgue of Mersin University Medical Faculty Hospital for an autopsy. The suspect, Hasan F., was caught at the bus station where he went to escape. It was alleged that the murder suspect, who had a criminal record for different offenses, had taken out loans in the woman's name.

SEARCHED FOR AS MISSING ON TV PROGRAM

It was revealed that Hasan F., who lives in Istanbul, claimed that Aybeniz Top, the mother of his child with whom he was living, was missing during a television program he participated in last month. In the program, the murder suspect Hasan F. stated that the woman he lived with was 'first missing and then forcibly held captive.' However, Aybeniz Top exposed his lie on television. Aybeniz Top stated in the program that she had separated from her first husband and had been subjected to violence by Hasan F. with whom she was living. It was later learned that the couple reconciled and started living in Aybeniz Top's father's empty house in Mersin, where the murder also took place.
