ARGENTINA STARTED THE MATCH QUICKLY
Argentina was the side that started effectively at the Dallas Stadium. In the 7th minute, the South American team took the lead through Lo Celso, but the goal was disallowed for offside. However, Argentina managed to go ahead in the 19th minute. From a free kick won on the right diagonal outside the penalty area, Lo Celso stepped up and aimed directly at the goal. His shot found the back of the net from the far corner.
In the 28th minute, Argentina came close to scoring. From Tagliafico's cross from the left, Lautaro Martinez struck at the near post, but the ball hit the post. The loose ball in front of the goal was headed by Senesi, going just wide. After a VAR check, referee Istvan Kovacs reviewed the play and deemed the action on Senesi as a foul, awarding a penalty. In the 31st minute, Lautaro Martinez stepped up for the penalty kick, sending the goalkeeper and the ball to opposite corners, increasing the lead to 2-0. The first half ended with Argentina leading 2-0.
GOALS CONTINUED IN THE SECOND HALF
In the 55th minute, Jordan reduced the deficit to 1. From a cross developed from the right into the goal area, Tamari slid in at close range and sent the ball into the net. In the 80th minute, from a free kick won just outside the penalty arc, Messi stepped up and with a clever low shot, curled the ball past goalkeeper Abulaila into the net, making the score 3-1.
