Hosts Mexico defeated Czech Republic 3-0 in Group A of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, winning all their matches and finishing top of the group to advance to the round of 32. The Czech Republic, with 2 points, finished at the bottom of the group and were eliminated from the tournament.
