"THERE IS NO ILLEGAL SITUATION"
During a daily press conference at the National Palace, Sheinbaum addressed the US drones flying at her country's border. Sheinbaum said, "Each of these flights occurs at the request of the Mexican government and specifically within the framework of cooperation between the Mexican Armed Forces and the relevant US agencies. This cooperation aims to contribute to security conditions and ensure information sharing. There is no illegal situation. US drones are flying at the request of Mexico."
"COOPERATION BETWEEN THE US AND MEXICO IS BASED ON FOUR FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES"
Referring to drone news in CNN and The New York Times, Sheinbaum stated, "The cooperation between the US and Mexico is always based on four fundamental principles. Information is shared within this framework, and respect for Mexico's sovereignty is one of the key elements of cooperation."
"THEY WANT TO CREATE THE PERCEPTION THAT 'THE MEXICAN PRESIDENT IS WEAK'"
Sheinbaum reacted to the news from CNN and The New York Times, stating, "Their goal is to weaken the government. In the Mexican media or among the opposition, they want to create the perception that 'the Mexican President is weak, has had to bow to the US government's espionage, and there is a violation of sovereignty.' However, they will not weaken us. Because we have principles, and sovereignty is a non-negotiable value for us. Moreover, we always tell the truth and hide nothing."
