After his party's group meeting, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli made statements to journalists, closing the door to early election discussions by saying, "What matters is that the election is held on time."
Devlet Bahçeli, Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), made critical statements on the agenda during the weekly ordinary group meeting held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Delivering important messages regarding domestic and foreign politics, the MHP leader answered questions from press members who greeted him as he left the meeting hall.
Responding to journalists' questions about early election debates and new presidential candidates, Bahçeli once again declared the clear stance of the People's Alliance.
"THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE ELECTION IS HELD ON TIME"
Reacting to early election calls and proposed names that occupy the agenda, Bahçeli emphasized that politics should progress within its normal schedule, saying, "The important thing is that the election is held on time. Various names are emerging as new presidential candidates, and discussions are taking place about them. It is being suggested as if the election has already started before the election."
"WE STAND BEHIND OUR PRESIDENT"
Putting an end to the candidacy debates, Bahçeli stated that as the People's Alliance, their support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is complete, saying, "Our President is in office, and we stand behind him."
