During the informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made evaluations regarding the agenda, stating, "When we look at the agreement reached between the YPG and the Damascus administration, we said that we generally welcome it in principle. However, when we talk to our counterparts, we see that there has not been a single step taken by the YPG so far. We are waiting for these steps to be implemented."

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made striking evaluations regarding the current issues at the NATO Foreign Ministers' Informal Meeting held in Antalya.
"THERE HAS BEEN NO STEP TAKEN BY YPG"
Referring to the agreement signed last month between the Syrian government and the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDF, Minister Fidan stated, "When we look at the agreement reached between YPG and the Damascus administration, we had said that we welcomed it in principle. There is a declaration here, but we expect these words to be fulfilled. The disbandment of YPG's military structure and the integration of everything into the new army in Syria, as well as ensuring that our Kurdish brothers living in Syria benefit from all their rights, would be the goal. When we talk to our counterparts, we see that there has been no step taken by YPG so far. We expect these steps to be implemented. There needs to be a single armed legitimate force, and the security of all citizens must be guaranteed. We continue to monitor developments in Syria," he said.
