Recently appointed Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek made his first provincial visit to his hometown, Nevşehir. Minister Gürlek was welcomed in the Acıgöl district by a large crowd with drums and zurnas. Gürlek said, "Today you embraced me. I came here not as a Minister of Justice, but as your brother born in this land."
Recently appointed Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek made his first provincial visit to his hometown of Nevşehir. Gürlek was welcomed in the Acıgöl district of Nevşehir with drums and zurna by party members and citizens.
PRAYERS WERE MADE, A SACRIFICE WAS OFFERED
The crowd gathered at the entrance of the district showed intense affection for Minister Gürlek. During the welcome, banners were carried with slogans such as "We waited 33 years for this day," "Let not the unjust and the greedy be spared," "Today, we have been warriors for years," "A true state mind, Kütük Nevşehir Kozaklı," "Brave ones like you do not lose their essence," "Kil Ömer's justice, the pen of the thief," and "We are coming in waves."
After the sacrifice was offered with prayers, Minister Gürlek greeted citizens and chatted for a while. Messages of unity and solidarity were conveyed during the program.
Following the welcome in Acıgöl, Minister Gürlek proceeded to the Nevşehir Külliye Mosque to perform the Friday prayer. After leaving the mosque, Gürlek encountered the interest of citizens and spent some time chatting with the congregation.
"TODAY YOU EMBRACED ME"
Minister Gürlek stated, "Dear fellow citizens. Today you embraced me. I came here not as a Minister of Justice, but as your brother born in this land. The people of Nevşehir are always brave. They love their homeland and nation. They have stood by their state in difficult times. Inshallah, we will unite and work together for the problems of Nevşehir. Today, we will meet with our fellow citizens in the Nevşehir program. We know the problems of Nevşehir. We wish you all a blessed Ramadan. May you be entrusted to Allah," he said.
