The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, made a presentation regarding the 2025 budget of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In his speech, Işıkhan also made statements regarding the minimum wage agenda and touched upon the determination meetings that millions are waiting for. Minister Işıkhan emphasized that the minimum wage is critical for ensuring social justice and economic growth, stating that the Ministry is making every effort to ensure that the minimum wage is determined in a balanced manner for both employees and employers. SECOND MEETING ON DECEMBER 16Recalling that the second meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission to determine the minimum wage to be applied next year will be held on December 16, Işıkhan continued his remarks as follows: "We have strengthened the Minimum Wage Support we initiated to increase our workers' income where necessary. In the first 9 months of the year, we provided a total of 38 billion lira in minimum wage support to approximately 1.5 million workplaces. In the process of determining the minimum wage that will be valid in 2025, we are working decisively for a balanced solution that will increase the welfare of our employees while preserving the competitiveness of our employers. I hope that the decision to be made will be beneficial for our country, our employers, and our employees, and I wish the commission's work to be successful." HE ALSO SPOKE FOR RETIREESSpeaking about retirement salaries, Minister Işıkhan said, "At the beginning of the year, the necessary increases will be made in the monthly payments of our retirees in accordance with legal regulations."
