The Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, stated that an investigation is being conducted regarding the Bursaspor fans who chanted sexist insults towards former HDP MP Leyla Zana. Minister Bak commented on the incidents, saying, "This is a process that is not in line with the ethical spirit of sports. We cannot accept this. Necessary research and evaluations will be carried out regarding the individuals who carried out this act; various sanctions will be imposed on those present in the stands, including a ban from the match."
Reactions from politicians continue regarding a group of Bursaspor fans who targeted Kurdish politician Leyla Zana with sexist and abusive chants during the Bursaspor–Somaspor match in the TFF 3rd League.
MINISTER BAK'S STRONG REACTION
Speaking in the General Assembly, Minister Osman Aşkın Bak stated that the insults directed at Leyla Zana are unacceptable.
''VARIOUS SANCTIONS WILL BE APPLIED''
Bak, who noted that an investigation is underway, stated that various sanctions will be imposed on those who carried out this act, saying, ''We are conducting the necessary investigation regarding this incident in the stands, both with the Turkish Football Federation and ourselves. According to Law No. 6222, necessary research and evaluations will be made regarding the individuals who committed this act; various sanctions will be applied to those in the stands, including a ban from the match.''
''WE CANNOT ACCEPT THIS''
Continuing his remarks, Bak said, ''We are completely against actions that will hinder the fair conduct of sports. Such incidents are unacceptable, regardless of who it is. It is a process that does not align with the ethical spirit of sports. We cannot accept this.''
