MİT shared a document marked "top secret" regarding the residence of Iranian revolution leader Ayatollah Khomeini in Turkey. The document dated November 11, 1964, states that "the Iranian guest has arrived in Turkey and it was decided that he would reside in Bursa." Additionally, the document indicated that the codename "Belli" would be used for Khomeini.
A new intelligence report has been added to the "Documents" section under the "Special Collection" tab on the official website of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT).
"TOP SECRET" ORDER DOCUMENT SHARED
The document includes a "top secret" order dated November 11, 1964, signed by National Security Service Chief Ziya Selışık, addressed to the Istanbul Central Directorate, concerning the residence of Iranian revolution leader Ayatollah Khomeini in Turkey under MIT surveillance between November 4, 1964, and October 5, 1965.
CODE NAME: BELLI
The report contains the following statements:
"The Iranian guest has arrived in Turkey, and it has been decided that he will reside in Bursa. The house where the guest will stay and other related matters will be personally arranged by the Bursa Unit Command. Necessary instructions have been sent to the Bursa Unit Command in writing and verbally. The alias 'Belli' will be used in all correspondence and encryption regarding the guest. Please be informed."
