Iran's Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei has ordered that the stockpile of highly enriched uranium should not be sent abroad. Senior Iranian officials speaking to Reuters stated that the decision has become a collective stance of the state. The Iranian administration believes that sending uranium out of the country would leave it vulnerable to attacks by the US and Israel. Meanwhile, Trump has said that if no agreement is reached, new strikes could be on the table.

Iran's religious leader Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered that the country's stockpile of near-weapons-grade enriched uranium should not be sent abroad. Two senior Iranian officials speaking to Reuters said the decision has become a consensus at the highest levels of the state.

The Iranian administration believes that removing the uranium stockpile from the country would leave it more vulnerable to future attacks by the US and Israel.

TENSIONS BETWEEN TRUMP AND ISRAEL

US President Donald Trump and the Israeli administration are said to be demanding that Iran's high-grade enriched uranium be sent abroad as part of the terms of a potential deal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also previously stated that the war would not be considered over until Iran's uranium stockpile is completely removed.

CONCERN OVER "NEW ATTACK PREPARATIONS"

The report noted serious distrust of the ceasefire process within the Iranian administration. It was stated that the Tehran administration suspects the US is using the temporary ceasefire to buy time for new attacks.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also claimed that the US is preparing new attacks. Trump has stated that if Iran does not agree to a deal, the option of new attacks remains on the table.

NUCLEAR STOCKPILE AT THE CENTER OF THE CRISIS

According to data from the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran holds approximately 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent. Experts note that this level is very close to the 90 percent required for a nuclear weapon. Iran maintains that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
