A young driver without a license, who did not comply with the police's "stop" warning while drifting in Kırıkkale, was caught on the street after a chase reminiscent of movie scenes. The driver, who was neutralized by the police teams, was fined 86,763 lira, and the car was banned from traffic for 60 days.
In Kırıkkale, a 18-year-old driver Ş.Ş. behind the wheel of a Tofaş brand car alarmed police teams by drifting at an intersection on Millet Boulevard.
CHASED BY POLICE, CAUSED CHAOS
The unlicensed driver, who did not heed the "stop" warning, entered 688th Street by colliding with moving and parked vehicles during the chase. The driver then reversed and hit a police vehicle.
The driver, who was trapped on the street, was neutralized by the traffic team and removed from the vehicle. The moments that could rival a movie scene were captured by a citizen's cellphone camera. While material damage occurred in the incident, there was a brief panic in the surrounding area.
UNLICENSED DRIVER DETAINED AT THE SCENE
A total administrative fine of 86,763 lira was imposed on driver Ş.Ş. for the relevant articles. The vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days. After the examination conducted by the traffic teams at the scene, the vehicle was towed to the parking lot.
The driver, who was detained by the Public Order Branch teams, faced legal action for endangering traffic safety, endangering public safety, and damaging property.

A citizen involved in the accident, Naci Ayar, stated that the driver did not heed the police's "stop" warning, saying, "He entered between the vehicles and hit me as well. The vehicle was stopped with police intervention. I advise everyone to be more cautious and calm in public."
Bilal Buğra Öztürk expressed that the driver came speeding while he was waiting at a red light, saying, "He hit my car, I couldn't escape. I have a sick father at home, and I've been waiting for two hours in this cold."
