THEY WERE DETAINED ON MARCH 25
A release decision was made for Aydın Günaydın and Özer Uygun, the drivers of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who were arrested as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Günaydın and Uygun, who were detained in Antalya on March 25 within the scope of the investigation, were taken to the Istanbul Police Department Vatan Campus for processing after being brought to Istanbul. The suspects were then referred to the Istanbul Courthouse to give their statements. After the prosecutor's proceedings, the two suspects, who had given their statements, were brought before the duty criminal judgeship with a request for their arrest on charges of "bribery."
THEY WERE RELEASED FOLLOWING EVALUATIONS
The court decided on March 26 to arrest Aydın Günaydın and Özer Uygun. A new development occurred in the investigation concerning the two suspects, who were sent to the Marmara Closed Penal Institution in Silivri. It was learned that Günaydın and Uygun were released as a result of evaluations made.
