The lifeless bodies of two friends who had been missing since April 30 in Ordu were found one day apart. The body of 35-year-old Süleyman Erdoğan was discovered in Küpkaya Canyon, approximately 100 meters away from the location where the body of his 25-year-old friend Gizem Sinanoğlu was found.
Süleyman Erdoğan, who is married and a father of two children, living in the Yenisayaca neighborhood of Ulubey district, and his friend Gizem Sinanoğlu went missing on April 30.
FIRST, THE CAR WAS REACHED
Upon the missing report from their relatives, gendarmerie and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. In the search conducted by the teams, a car belonging to Süleyman Erdoğan with the license plate 52 AY 465 was found near Küpkaya Canyon in Kardeşler neighborhood.
ON THE THIRD DAY, GIZEM'S LIFLESS BODY WAS FOUND
On the third day of the search efforts, Gizem Sinanoğlu's lifeless body was found yesterday. In the ongoing search operations in the canyon conducted by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Underwater Rescue, AFAD, and Coast Guard, today, Süleyman Erdoğan's lifeless body was reached 100 meters away from the point where Gizem Sinanoğlu was found.
"OUR PAIN IS VERY GREAT"
Ulubey Mayor İsa Türkcan, who closely followed the search efforts, stated, "Yesterday, we reached our sister, and today we reached our brother. We wished to find these siblings safe and sound. But unfortunately, we reached their lifeless bodies. Our pain is truly great; both of our siblings are our children. Hearing about these incidents deeply saddens us; hopefully, this will be the last."
