A request was made for a MASAK report regarding the HTS records and account activities of Selçuk Tengioğlu, who attacked CHP Chairman Özgür Özel with a punch after the memorial ceremony held for Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, at AKM.
Selçuk Tengioğlu (66), who was detained after attacking Özel with a punch following the ceremony held at AKM for Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who passed away in Istanbul, is undergoing procedures at the Istanbul Security Directorate.
As part of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after the attack, a report was requested from the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) regarding the suspect's HTS records and account activities from the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK).
WHAT HAPPENED?
After the memorial ceremony held for the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Istanbul MP of the DEM Party, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Özel was punched by an attacker who approached him as he was leaving AKM. It was determined that the suspect, who was detained by police while Özel was leaving the area under security measures and with bodyguards, was Selçuk Tengioğlu (66).
MURDERED HIS 2 CHILDREN BRUTALLY
The suspect, who was taken to the Beyoğlu District Police Department, was sent to the Istanbul Security Directorate after the procedures there. It was determined that the suspect, against whom an investigation was initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, had murdered his daughter M.T. (15) and son B.T. (17) in İskenderun, Hatay on May 9, 2004, and had injured his younger daughter G.T. (11), for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment and was released from prison on conditional parole in 2020. It was learned that the suspect had no connections to any political party or organization and that no findings regarding his mental health were found.
