After leaving the Quran course in Diyarbakır, the missing Narin's uncle, who disappeared as if into thin air and has been searched for days, was arrested. Demet Akalın reacted by saying "May Allah curse you. How could you do this?" while Gülben Ergen used the expression "Why did you do this to this girl? Why this silence?"
The whole of Turkey is waiting for news from 8-year-old Narin Güran, who disappeared after leaving the Quran course on August 21. The uncle, who was taken into custody as part of the investigation and whose DNA sample was found in Narin's car, was arrested yesterday. Following the decision, Demet Akalın and Gülben Ergen expressed their reactions one after another.
DEMET AKALIN: CURSE YOU
The uncle S.G., who was in custody on the 13th day of the disappearance, was arrested and sent to prison on charges of "intentional murder" and "deprivation of liberty". Demet Akalın, who criticized the uncle's arrest with a post on her X account, used the words "Curse you, and curse those who hide! How could you do this? Why did you kill the child who brought joy and laughter to the world?"
GÜLBEN ERGEN: WE ARE NOT SATISFIED, WE DON'T BELIEVE NARIN IS GONE
Gülben Ergen, who closely followed the Narin case, expressed her anger in her post, saying "Was Narin killed by her uncle? Is Narin not alive? Did you tie her hands and feet? Who else knew? Why did you do this to her? Why is this state keeping silent? All we know is that the uncle was arrested. We are not satisfied. We don't believe Narin is gone. We want to know! What happened to Narin? Where is Narin? Who else knew? What did you do to her? Has the broadcasting ban been lifted?"
WHAT HAPPENED?
The incident occurred on August 21 in the afternoon in Tavşantepe Village, Bağlar district. Narin Güran, who went to the Quran course, did not return home after leaving. When the search conducted by her family and villagers did not yield any results, Narin's father Arif Güran went to the gendarmerie station on the same day at around 8:00 pm and reported that his daughter was missing.
As a result of the report, Bağlar District Gendarmerie Command, Bağlar Security Commando Battalion, Gendarmerie Special Operations teams, Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT), Intelligence Branch Directorate, Dog Tracking Team, and Underwater Search and Rescue Team from AFAD, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, and district municipalities were dispatched to the region. In addition, approximately 150 vehicles that were determined to have passed through the area where Narin disappeared were interrogated. Searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and in vehicles entering the village. So far, a total of 12,565 vehicles have been searched, statements have been taken from 130 people, 32,952 people have been checked, and searches have been conducted in an area of more than 11,000 acres with 7 tracking dogs.
LAST FOOTAGE EMERGED
In addition, the last footage of Narin before she disappeared has emerged. The footage from the school on August 21 at 15:15 shows Narin walking with 4 friends and then separating from them and using the hill road to go home.
UNCLE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER BROTHER
During the search operations, two different children's slippers were found 3 kilometers away from their homes on August 22 and 2 kilometers away on August 28. However, it was determined that neither of the slippers belonged to Narin Güran, according to the statements of her family. As part of the investigation, Narin Güran's brother E.G. (18) was taken into custody due to bite marks on his arm. When it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released. Meanwhile, Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of Tavşantepe Village, Salim Güran, was taken into custody. After the procedures at the police station, Salim Güran was referred to the courthouse. Uncle Güran was arrested on charges of "intentional murder" and "deprivation of liberty".
