Security measures taken within the scope of the summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8 are being carried out at the highest level by the Provincial Police Department. Special operations, dolphin teams, and narcotics units have been deployed to critical points.

Before the NATO summit to be held in Ankara, the Ankara Provincial Police Department continues its efforts. High-level measures under the name "Operation Turquoise" have been implemented.

NO BIRD ALLOWED TO FLY FOR 24 HOURS

With the slogan "The peace of the capital is the peace of Turkey," extensive operations and inspections in 9 districts across the province ensured no bird was allowed to fly. Controls at city entry and exit points have been increased. Teams have been assigned to areas established and designated within NATO operational zones. In perimeters set up on a 24-hour basis, checks for suspicious individuals and vehicles were planned. Public entertainment venues were scrutinized, and venues in Ankara, which will host many tourists and delegations, were inspected. Groups such as beggars, touts, valets, and hawkers are not given any concessions.

TURQUOISE ALERT ISSUED

The NATO summit alert has been issued. Inspections were conducted at hotels and rental car companies. Special operations, dolphin teams, and anti-narcotics units were deployed to critical points. Necessary precautions were taken on routes with plainclothes teams. Parking lots were inspected one by one.
