The black-and-white club, established under the name of Yeni Nazillispor and competing in the leagues for many years as Nazilli Belediyespor, adopted the name Nazilli Spor in 2024 by becoming a corporation. Nazilli Spor Club President Şahin Kaya was arrested in December on charges of match-fixing in the match against Ankaraspor, which ended 0-0 and was played away in the 2023-24 season. The court decided last week to release Şahin Kaya. Nazilli Spor, which was relegated from the 2nd League last season, also failed to maintain its position in the 3rd League this season.
